Real Madrid is the other immensely popular Spanish football club and was founded in the year 1902 as the “Madrid Football Club.” The club has royal blood because “Real” literally translates to “Royal,” a name given to the club by King Alfonso VIII in 1920. The members of the club are also the owners and are referred to as “Socios.”
The club plays its home games at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, which has a capacity of 81,044 people. Real Madrid has won more league titles than any other Spanish club and also holds the record of Champions League Titles with 13 wins. This and the fact that it’s one of the most popular football clubs in the world outside of Spain make it the biggest and most valuable football club in the world.
